River Kodayar makes a descend at this location and creates the mesmeric waterfall. The riverbed in this area is rocky and 300 ft in length. The height of the waterfall itself is 50 ft. The waterfall is present seven months in a year and is a popular spot among tourists who visit Kanniyakumari and the nearby areas. Located 13 km away from the Pechiparai Dam, the waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery that makes the spot all the more picturesque and a picture-perfect picnic spot. The bed above the falls is a rocky mass and extends upto quarter of a kilometre upstream. The Thiruparappu weir is located here and is responsible for supplying water to paddy fields. There is a famous temple that is lcated nearby to this area, visited by many devotees and tourists.
